What Feels Like Learning Learning should be hard, while creation and play should flow naturally. Yet paradoxically, we often reverse these principles. Many of us mistake passive consumption for active learning, spending countless hours watching YouTube videos or scrolling through social media content that we convince ourselves might be useful someday. But true learning requires purpose and direction – a clear target to aim for. Without this intentionality, information simply washes over us and fades away. Why?!, you might ask. But that’s not the point here. I have always been a huge fan of eInk/ePaper, and I am waiting for the day when they will finally pick up as a calm way to present information and be used for business as a means to display dashboards.
I’ve put an old raspberry pie and an eInk display from Pimoroni into a picture frame. Now, every morning, I wake up to a new picture of myself, within a scene representing one headline of the latest news. What if teleporting was (almost) for free? Fuck! Finally! Some ideas do need a bit of time to develop. But there it is. I have been working out the details of this story for such a long time, over and over again. But here I got it. Noted down and spelled out on my glasses. For a moment I appreciate the beauty and serenity of the space I am in. I listen to the birds birds chirping and stare into the sky through the crowns of the tall and old birches.
